ASSOCIATED FOODS STORES ARE GIVING FREE PRENATAL VITAMINS
TO PREGNANT WOMEN
Mothers-to-be need to have a doctor’s prescription for prenatal vitamins
in order to take advantage of the free offer

SALT LAKE CITY—Associated Foods is giving free prenatal vitamins to pregnant women. To take advantage of the offer, pregnant women need to present a prescription for prenatal vitamins to the pharmacy at participating Associated Foods stores. The vitamin giveaway is available at any Dan’s, Dick’s, Lin’s or Maceys.
“Prenatal vitamins can be expensive, but they are important for the health of an expecting mother and her baby,” says Dave Wirthlin, president of Associated Foods. “In these difficult economic times, we thought it was especially important to help expecting mothers in Utah get what they need to have a healthy pregnancy.

“Whether they have insurance or not, mothers-to-be can get their prenatal vitamin prescriptions filled for free,” added Ric Sykes, director of Pharmacy for the Associated Retail Stores that are participating in the program.

According to the American Pregnancy Association, vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium and folic acid are vital for proper fetal growth, development and healthy adult living.

Fairfield Rd. in Layton. Lin’s is located at 150 N. Main in Cedar City, 1120 W. State St. in Hurricane, 670 N. Main St. in Richfield and 1930 Sunset Blvd. in St. George. Maceys is located at 580 S.
